Sorting Hats off to Hogwarts Legacy, which cast a spell on players in February, earning it the most votes and snagging the Players’ Choice crown. There are certain development tricks the studio, Avalanche Software, can try and implement to fix this, and, of course, there's always the option of just severely lowering the game's graphical fidelity. If the PlayStation 5 can struggle to immediately load certain areas of the castle, then the PlayStation 4 will undoubtedly have trouble loading it in a bearable amount of time. Loading time is one of the biggest differences between last-gen and current-gen consoles, as the latter feature an SSD (as opposed to an HDD) through which data can travel much faster. Even on current-gen hardware, it sometimes needs to load for a second before letting you go through a door at Hogwarts castle. Though Hogwarts perhaps isn't the most technically advanced video game of the modern era, with many reports of visual bugs, the game does feature very detailed high-fidelity areas with a lot of individual assets.
